The final stage of a bull market is euphoria - nothing can stop it, not even the election of a moron. Then news begins to hit the market. Talk of a trade war caused a massive collapsed, then no trade war and the market recovered, then talk of trade war again and the Dow drops 1100 pts in two days. The euphoria phase is ending or perhaps finished. Now, most CEOs can't depend on government debt (tax cuts) to keep their top and bottom lines green. They have to actually go to work (for the first time in a decade).
