WMT paid its employees the minimum wage and its stock was dead in the water. Then they got a new CEO who increases their wages to $11 an hour and the company started making money again. Coincidence? Perhaps, but I'd be hard-pressed to name one company that pays a minimum wage and is successful. It seems turnover costs a lot of money and it takes tens of millions of dollars in CEO salaries to figure it out.
