Mindmeld, I love the fact that David Hogg and the other High Schoolers are taking on Washington. God speed! To quote David Hogg: "Our parents don't know how to use a fucking Democracy. So we'll have to do it." Sorry, but David Hogg is the worst example when it comes to youth activism. He represents everything that is wrong with millennials. He believes he is right by default because he's the survivor of a tragedy or crime. He believes in all the social justice nonsense like the evils of "white privilege," the myth that minorities are inherently disadvantaged, and the hope that more government can solve the failures of government (like that cowardly police officer who didn't go into the school during the shooting). He acts all tough and knowledgeable but won't take anyone's challenge to a debate. (It also doesn't help that this "tough guy" weighs maybe 90 lbs. soaking wet.) He thinks gun control is above politics and that it's just the Republicans and the NRA "practicing politics." Remember Tenchu's first rule of partisan politics: Accuse the other side of partisan politics. He relies upon the media to protect him from those right-wing adult "bullies," yet he slings mud just as zealously as any adult liberal. He is the reason why NRA membership and donation dollars recently spiked up. And that is a shame, because I too believe in stricter controls on so-called assault rifles. I don't like the fact that "active shooter drills" are now the new normal even in elementary schools. But if things are going to change, it's not going to be because of David Hogg. Instead, the only thing he'll accomplish is getting the "liberal Donald Trump" elected, whoever that turns out to be. Tenchusatsu
