I did answer it but here is a better one as it goes right to the heart of the problem we are having with the Republican rank and file.

Reagan and subsequent Republicans have convinced their rank and file that small government is better than a large government and private is better than public, and should supplant government/public functions; and nothing could be further from the truth.

And here is why and what they do not understand, but we need to convince them of.

In a democracy, we , the people, are the government and so have a lot of control through democratic means, like voting for say school boards, city council and regulations, or electing representatives at local , state and federal level.

But when we substitute public for private we lose that control and get inferior results. We have no control over corporations. We cannot define their policies or vote them out of office.

That is why I keep saying if you drill down to the bedrock of Republican ideology they do not believe in democracy, but it is because they do not understand it gives them power and control, while private takes that power and control away. They have been duped. Just look at what Trump is doing.

Which is exactly what Reagan's masters and subsequent Republican leaders wanted him to effect as it transfers power from us to their oligarchical masters!!
