Germany is taking over Europe again but in a different way. Yes they are. I like to imagine alternate realities and looked at what would have happened if Prince Wilhelm who was born in1860 had lived a different life. He took over as Kaiser in 1880 and if he had left England to be a sea power and made Germany a Free Enterprise trading land power he could have dominated the entire continent. The smart move with France would have been to give them back the Alsace Lorraine. in exchange for a trade union and made trading deals with all of his neighbors. Then moved east with a railroad heading to China as each section became profitable. He could have done it with an open hand of trade and a fist of power when needed. Never have had a war. He would have been poised to open the Romanian oil fields. Fought off the Socialists by pre-empting them with a National Health and pension system and deportation of the Leftist leaders. There would never have been a WWI or WWII.
