THIS thread begin with Koan, a certifiable idiot, making the statement that gays are "born gay." I simply raised the correct point that that had not been shown to be scientific fact. It may at some future date be, or it may at some future date be shown to be 100% choice.
The scientific community believes, for the most part, that there is a genetic component. However, they have been unable to prove that to date. There are, a couple times a year, articles claiming they "think" they proved it, often, never to be heard of again. It can be at most considered an unproved hypothesis. Perhaps one day a genetic component will be established.
Liberals do appreciate science as long as it is THEIR science and agrees with THEIR predetermined beliefs. Which is, of course, 180 degrees from what real science is.
We've seen the same thing in area of Global Warming, GMO seed, Vaccines & Autism, and a plethora of other topics. When I see it I do tend to point it out because scientific integrity is very important to me. |
