What really got me seriously interested in diabetes was my best friend younger than me was recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.

This happened almost overnight and his blood sugar shot to over 400. He is also thin.

To make matters worse, he is a picky eater and doesn't like greens and vegetables.

Diabetics also learn soon that carbohydrates convert to glucose very quickly.

One thing to know is that rice is actually worse that wheat, because it is easily digested and rapidly absorbed into the bloodstream as glucose.

Asians also have a higher incident of diabetes.

One thing I've discovered is that Almond flour is low in carbohydrates.
