It's 'appearing' that Uber was letting corporate greed or fear of losing, dictate irresponsible actions on their part.


Let's not let one bad actor taint the entire industry.

Ironically, I think that Uber's previous reputation helps the rest of the industry a bit here. They were already regarded as a loose cannon so I dont think they will be automatically viewed as reflective of the general AV industry.

However, the fact is that a large portion of the public doesnt view this as you and I do. They will be up in arms when the first death occurs due to Waymo's commercial service. I can only hope that happens after hundreds of millions of miles are driven.
