The concerned shareholders of Zenyatta Ventures Inc. have retained Shorecrest Group, a shareholder engagement firm led by industry veterans Christine Carson, Suzanne Makhan and Penny Rice. Shorecrest will act as strategic adviser and proxy solicitation agent to the concerned shareholders in relation to the previously announced requisitioned meeting of shareholders to elect a new, shareholder-friendly board slate scheduled to be held on May 11, 2018. The concerned shareholders are not soliciting proxies in connection with the special meeting at this time, and shareholders are not being asked at this time to execute proxies in favour of the concerned shareholder nominees. Proxies may be solicited by the concerned shareholder pursuant to an information circular sent to shareholders after which solicitations may be made by or on behalf of the concerned shareholder. The concerned shareholder may also solicit proxies in reliance upon the public broadcast exemption to the solicitation requirements under applicable Canadian corporate and securities laws, conveyed by way of public broadcast, including through press releases, speeches or publications, and by any other manner permitted under applicable Canadian laws.
