WILLIAM APPOINTS CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Stan Bharti, President and Chief Executive Officer of William Resources Inc. ("William") is pleased to announce the appointment of Wolf K. Seidler to the newly created position of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
Mr. Seidler has more than 25 years of varied Canadian and international mining experience relating to underground and open pit mines, base and precious metals as well as some industrial minerals. He is a Professional Engineer with a degree in mining engineering from Queen's University and has held senior management positions with various companies involved in engineering, mine development, construction, and mine operations. For the past several years Mr. Seidler was Vice President Operations of a mining company with international operations where he played a key role in the development and operation of their mines.
In his new role at William Mr. Seidler is responsible for all mining operations and exploration activities of the Company. Initially, he will focus his attention on the Jacobina Mine and eventually devote more time to William's other mining operations.
William is an intermediate gold mining company listed on The Toronto Stock Exchange (symbol TSE: WIM) and operates the Bjorkdal gold mine in Sweden, Jacobina in Brazil, and Pahtavaara in Finland. Bjorkdal is Europe's largest gold mine. William also provides engineering and contracting services to the international mining industry through the BLM Service Group.
