Monday, January 12, 1998 UC slams door on Hutchins ------------------------------------------------------------------------ BY MIKE DeCOURCY The Cincinnati Enquirer Michael Horton helped put the stop on Marquette's Aaron Hutchins. The scouting report came from Cincinnati Bearcats assistant coach Rod Baker, and he might have tweaked the truth a little to make his point about Marquette guard Aaron Hutchins. When Baker was finished, UC's Michael Horton somehow got the idea Hutchins averages 25 or 30 points a game. He does not. And he's a lot further from that figure after the way the Bearcats handled him Sunday night. Hutchins, who averages 18.2 points and is considered an All-America candidate, was held to nine points and 3-of-11 shooting as UC stormed to a 68-51 victory over the No. 20 Golden Eagles in a Conference USA game Sunday night at Shoemaker Center.
