My doctor is very thorough and quick to call in specialists, but something he hasn't done though is ever advise me on my diet other than limiting salt because of high blood pressure. Thinking back, none of my doctors have ever really talked about nutrition.

When I started this thread it was my goal to learn more and possibly assist some of the people I know with diabetes, but I am becoming more aware of the importance of eating healthy and there are also thin people that eat too much junk.
