The gop passed tax cuts because they said we had massive Clinton surpluses and because they said we'd pay down all our debt. Who else said it? The Fed.

The tech boom did continue. Nasdaq added more than 2000 pts. since the tech bubble ended.

Your statement on the military is sadly uninformed. The USSR collapsed so there was no need to put more money into the military. No one wanted to reduce it zero and no one said we needed to do so to pay down the debt.

Since this era of tax cutters promised to balance the budget and according to you never once achieved that goal then bringing up that failure is key to understanding what went wrong with them (not us).
