| | | Yeah, I know Donald bonded with all the people who lost their job due to free trade, automation and the Information Age. I liked the fact that these jobs were sent overseas because it pushed prices lower. That's progress and there's no going back. Jobs aren't given away, they are created to produce value for the good of most of the population. For instance, I can buy a Chromebook now for $250 rather buying a expensive Dell PC back then for $2,000. Why did it cost $2000? Because Dell was paying their technicians 75K a year in the late 90s. What a waste! Who needs a technician? My Chromebooks last 2.5 years on average and perform just as well, if not better than a Bloated Dell PC or Laptop. Cheaper prices across the board are better value unless you offer an invaluable service like I did, turning kids around and making them get As because I inspired them to love learning.
I'm not protectionist in the least. I ran a college service for youngsters in Hong Kong, India, South Korea and Bangladesh, who wanted to go to college in USA. I was their point man and took care of everything for them to make sure they got in. I advertised on AOL and other places online in the early 90s when advertising was free.
Trump is an incredible scumbag who resents progress. If it can be made cheaper overseas, so be it. That is the law of life and business to maximize profit. Yes, in the end I'm a capitalist.
Nobody owes anybody anything. What Trump wants to do is turn back the clock. |
