The fact that republicans didn't work with President Obama even once on any issue defies logic, reason, and Americanism. While some want to ignore the race issue it's easy to see how much racism exists within the gop. They voted for a racist. George Will says he left the party because of Trump's racism and you can't get any more conservative than that.

Around 80% of Trump voters thought President Obama was born in Kenya so without a single fact he was able to get them to believe a lie. The same can be said on many other issues. A majority of republicans believe things that are not true which according to some polls suggests people who get no news are more informed then fox viewers.

Do gays exist? Yes. Do they have rights? Yes (why would they not have rights?)? The gop lost the issue and they hate liberals for pushing it. They forget the Fortune 500 embraced gay rights long before the gop dared even talk about it.

Today, liberals and the Fortune 500 are working on trans rights. I don't know the numbers off hand but corporations are gradually becoming educated on this issue and changing their policies. A majority (the last time I checked) don't embrace trans rights yet but they will. Any move towards a more perfect Union pisses republicans off and we know it. We lose elections because of it and we don't care.
