I liked Zinn's history very much, and having read many other histories, found little fault with it. Zinn is a socialist, and that became clear reading the book. I found his take refreshing, as opposed to other histories, featuring great men and grand events, wars, etc. That isn't the history you and I, or the vast majority of people live.
