PRC is thinking of selling all of its Treasuries in response to Mnuchin's trade war. Wall Street investment bankers have predicted that China cannot use its Treasury holdings as leverage. These Stanford MBAs have neglected to consider the third derivative of bond prices. Secretary of Treasury Steven Mnuchin will follow Secretary of State Rex Tillerson out the revolving door and be replaced by Peter Navarro. I predict that Xi Jinping will soon make an emergency trip to Washington Dulles to visit President Donald Trump.
