You do not because you have not escaped the clutches of servitude to totalitarian ideology. You simply traded one for another. The church you speak of hasn't existed in Western culture for hundreds of years. The modern church(s) does not dictate conduct it/they merely lay a path of principle that people can choose or not choose to follow. The myths and fears you live by create the cell you bound your self in.
