The Cold War ended, spending dropped and we had balanced budgets so the gop had to create new enemies so they went to war in Iraq and killed 500,000 innocent Iraqis (that's the number they claim we killed...most likely a few hundred thousand). Then they stay in the war after we learn the war is based on lies to ensure the spending never ends. Then they cut taxes over and over and over to ensure the US goes bankrupt.
