Jeez....Reading your article and the others on this thread, I think the only thing we can safely (?) consume is water. How far can we go on that?

My type 1 diabetic wife got c diff last year after taking three different antibiotics for three different illnesses (strep throat, sinus infection and then strep throat again) within a 1 month period. It was pretty horrible with two hospital visits two days in a row, and she is still suffering side effects. She teaches and lives in a petrie dish environment.

Unfortunately we had to do research ourselves because the first emergency room doctor was clueless. When she went back, she told the new doc what she had and he agreed. So what is the cure for c diff? Another antibiotic that attacks that germ in particular.

So now, she is taking loads of probiotics to replace the helpful bacteria that are killed off with antibiotics, which we feel has helped a lot. Trust me, you don't want c diff.!
