Micron was up almost 30% in a few weeks time going into earnings. While earnings justified the stock going higher, there is A LOT of hot money in Micron. Since they didn't meet whisper numbers of $3 a share all those short term people that consider two weeks a long term investment sold causing a further cascade of selling from all the people that buy Micron on margin, which I think is a substantial number. Throw gasoline on the fire from one of the biggest bullshit sell calls from a UBS analyst and here you are. Actually I'm pretty happy about that because it gave me the opportunity to sell some Micron $50 puts last week and generate some very, very nice income!

WDC on the other hand is down 20% and counting from its high heading into earnings. All data points are pointing to a very strong quarter and 2018 with NAND being better than feared and the HDD business actually accelerating. It is also around the same price as it was about a year ago with the only difference being consensus going from about $7 a share in earnings at this time last year to $15 a share in earnings now. If Katy Huberty thinks there is over 20% upside in Seagates earnings from current estimates in the next year I don't see WDC earnings going down. I think you are pretty safe holding. My $200 PT still holds!!!!
