I'd put the chance of him firing Rosenstein at about 90%. All he has to do then is install someone who carries water for him. It's not like the rule of law matters to Trump or the gop. I haven't heard one of them say a word about protecting Rosenstein or anyone other than Mueller. The base won't allow them to speak freely about the rule of law.
