I don't think that at all in the aggregate. It depends on what they disagree with me about. Isn't that true for you? Do you tolerate Nazi's?/ do think racists are the dregs of society!!

Half my good friends are hard core conservatives.

I do not discuss politics with them, except on micro issues like racism. That I never allow,, even for relatives. They will get a piece of my mind if that situation arises.

When we marched for civil rights and to protest the Viet Nam war, being polite was not in the equation. The issue was paramount to politeness.

My comments should be seen as nothing different from my civil rights protest.

Our nation is under siege and everyone should be fighting for our nation not unlike our civil war. Sometimes the issues are more important than politeness! Now is one of those times.
