Hillary- if you read her proposals, of which there were many- was actually working very much for the non-elite American. She's a wonk, so she didn't communicate it very well. You may confuse "competence" with "elitism". Hillary was just competent. Sure, she's a bit of a hawk- and I didn't like that, but at least she understood the law, and how government works, and she wasn't going to destroy the country. I realize the schmucks who thought Hillary was "elite" and Trump- rich, scummy, con man Trump- was "better"- may have felt "left out" but that was probably because they were too stupid to read Hillary's policy statements, or they were unable to listen to complete sentences- because Hillary was all about trying to do things for the non-elites, if you listened to her or read her platform.
Bernie, bless his heart, has never done much and has never had to do much. He's a good spittin' demagogue though. And if Hillary had been a little more of a demagogue, or if Comey hadn't been quite so much of an idiot, or the Russians hadn't been quite so successful- we'd have President Hillary right now, and most of us would feel a lot more comfortable waking up and reading the news of a morning- and we'd be on the 37th Benghazi hearing... |
