<Hard to give people a cut of revenues you're not collecting, right Reggie? Of course, Ballmer may just be talking like his usual ethical, courteous self here.>

Maybe you don't understand dear old Dan. Let me explain. MSFT may have to shy away from collecting gatekeeper fees via the use of their OS, but there is no one who can practically complain about their charging for thier own online properties. Why do you think they are will to fund these operations at a loss? Because they will soon be VERY valuable assets with the right amount of traffic forced through them. Expedia travel agency, carpoint virtual car dealer, MSN, MSNBC, and Sidewalk can and will generate significant revenue to spread around when 50% of all new TV's and cable boxes sold will funnel money spending users to them on an exclusive basis.

Oh yeah, I take my smiley face back too.
