You've got to admire SUNW's "take it to 'em" approach. While the industry debates NT moving upscale, SUNW introduces cheaper desktop UNIX workstations and upscale PCs.

Next question - when can a non-technical user put a Darwin on his desk and run a full complement of software. I know java promises "run anywhere" but that's not here yet. Is x-windows or some such emulator now a realistic option for a UNIX home / office PC? I'm sick of hearing myself whine about Windows. Can I now do something about it? TIA.
