My take on the press releases:

good news.

Seems like Iomega is really trying to lower the factory costs
on those drives. Remember.. every penny they take out goes directly
to the bottom line.

I would kill to find out the factory costs of those drives. Would
make the difference in me getting back into the stock or not. Looks
like the aftermarket sales on the drives have been decreasing (looking
at revenues last quarter and next) thus the OEMs will be the key.. Can they
pull the transistion off?

GLee.. You are exactly right. profit (in future) will be (# disks sold * profit per)
Would hate to see margins on those crunched.
