And when Syria crossed it, what did Obama do? Nothing. The red line is meaningless if you can't enforce it, and Obama was the king of meaningless platitudes.

It was very clearly implied what the "red line" meant, especially since Obama wasn't opposed to military force. And yet Obama did indeed back off.
