You know damn well, or should know, the 1964 civil rights act vote was not between Republicans and Democrats, it was between conservatives and liberals.

Not ONE liberal voted against the 1964 civil rights act.

And all the dem votes were conservative Democrats and mostly "Dixiecrats"

You right wingers always talk that shit and try to hang the Dixiecrats around the liberals neck.

Those Dixiecrats belong to your right wing tribe, not ours!

And after passage of the act the Dixiecrats became Republicans.

The right wing has to lie about everything as they are almost always on the wrong side of history!!

<,

Republicans voted for the act in higher percentages than Democrats voting for it.

And those who opposed it were more likely to do so for principled reasons
