Too generous policies ... early retirements, high payouts, politicians investing funds to benefit their cronies, stuff like that. You just want to let the politicians squander as much as they want and go back to the taxpayers to soak them more and more. Oh yeah, another cause is liberal policies driving industry out of state. I was born in IL and I have seen how the factories that were in my hometown as a child have relocated to other states. One factory, a shoe factory, was closed and the manufacturing moved overseas, but the other two big private sector employers moved their operations to Cadiz KY and Evansville IN, respectively.
