I did not remember those two, but it makes my point about the big picture. The big picture represents the truth, about the liberals and conservatives and who stood with the African Americans, not the two isolated quasi liberals you found who resided in the deep south.

You pick two liberals from deep southern states obviously conflicted by their history and political situation.

Show me a west coast or northern liberal who did not have those conflicts that voted against it.

Are you trying to win an argument or are you trying to see the big picture.

All those two show is the validity of my contention that it was liberals who were the friends of African Americans and conservatives who were their enemies.

Why would you think any African American would vote for a party that tried so hard to prevent their freedom?/

And the Republican party today is the home of conservatives lock, stock and barrel.

And the Democratic party is the home of the liberals.
