Usually raccoons are fairly neighborly whenever they come into my back yard, meaning that when I go out with the dog at night they climb up a tree and wait. Well, last year there was a very vicious, bad tempered one. Whenever Harvey (dog) came out, raccoon would go outside the fence but when Harvey barked at him he would come charging back through the fence, hissing and snarling. It happened every night for about a week. A horrible event just waiting to happen. Well, can't have that. So I had a friend relocate him. He brought over a trap just like the one you've got on order. That night I went out with Harvey and the raccoon was inside. Harvey went over to the cage and raccoon went nuts. It was too late to call my friend so he had to stay in the cage all night. I knew that Harvey and I would make one more trip to the yard before bed and didn't want to freak out the raccoon so I draped two beach towels over the cage to make him feel safe.

D'you see how small those little squares are in the cage? D'you know how big beach towels are? Well, the next morning both beach towels were inside the cage. I don't know how he did it. I know I couldn't pull two beach towels through those little holes. He must have worked all night.

Because there were also three small babies in the neighborhood I had my friend check to make sure it wasn't a nursing female. Thankfully he was a male so off he went to his new home deep in the woods.
