Well clearly the market is telling D mgmt they were not very smart in this case.

You can sit there and think D can do no wrong - but Scana has been a mess, a lawsuit or bankruptcy waiting to happen. I get why D wants Scana's customer base but I believe they overpaid, especially given the uncertainty Scana faces

Shoot all one needs to do is look at the offer price and what Scana traded at. Scana was valued at $55 and change by D's offer but only traded as high as $48 and change (and now is in the 30's). that was the market saying D was wrong

It could be in the long run D will be proven right, or it could be that Mr. Market will be proven right. But right now it is clear what the market thinks.

I own plenty of D and this misstep on their behalf has taken some bloom off the rose IMO
