Thank you, Rennie69 for your kind comments. Perhaps I was quiet for too long but I really didn't have much knowledge at the time to contribute anything worthwhile. Little did I know what was going on behind the scenes. I think I did the right thing.
I think there are three groups of people when you consider the state Zenyatta finds itself. We have a group firmly behind AE. I understand their position. I was on the fence but leaning that way. Then there is a group opposing AE.
The group opposing AE began way back with the Chief and Hoove. Strange isn't it that we are now aligned in their camp. So, did they have some foresight much earlier than we now have? Of course not! There's was more for themselves and their situation at the time. But I think of it now and again and it brings a smile (for me). The group opposing AE now is doing it for the good of every shareholder. I mean that. Once I had enough facts and information, I knew where I had to be. So I am here, and hopefully I can do some good for everyone.
I see two groups within the opposing side. One group is working hard to learn the facts concerning the situation Zenyatta finds itself in. Most of them were once vocal supporting Zenyatta but went quiet and worked behind the scenes. You can take only so much of the likes of the Chief etc. You find the rest of them on other BB's. I do not have to name them. Glorieux was one who stayed more connected to the BB's and began this site to keep things civil. I'll get to that in due time. But G. always was one who wrote and shared his thoughts. You do not have to agree with him all the time, but whatever he wrote was worthy of thinking about. We should always be responsible for the choices we make, regardless of the end result. But he shared and took more criticism than was right. But we have this group working with him because they have a concern with the way Zenyatta is going. I had a phone call and it turned out to be G. I wrote about this already. I was as surprised it was he, and he was surprised who he was talking to. I told him I only wanted to know one thing. Where are you going to get your funding? This is really what the whole issue is about, and it should only be what this is about ( my opinion ), but would we be here if there was proper funding for Zenyatta? I think not. This group with G once were the strongest backers of AE.
Now we have another group and sometimes we all find ourselves part of it. They claim that AE and others connected have done nothing over the years. The emotions run high and, frankly, out of control. This is not true. If it were, please explain why for the last four or five years these "ringleaders" praised AE for what he has accomplished? AE was part of the group that has brought us to where we are. Have we had no news releases to inform us? How would you know how valuable Zenyatta is? I have no problem with we should have had more communication. But running a company is much harder than talking about it. AE deserves credit for his accomplishment and we should not allow the unpleasantness we find ourselves in colour our thinking.
While I was fence sitting I was sticking with AE until I had enough facts to make a decision. My high regard for G was an emotion (how I felt) but I wanted facts. When he called I got them. It was his word. He did not give me proof nor did I ask for any. From my own DD I have a feel for the situation Zenyatta finds itself. I was writing about it before it became an issue. While I was fence sitting the careless remarks about AE's performance and accomplishments only caused me to have less respect for the writer and the cause. So you had a group like the CG people and the supporters making remarks that turned off people you are trying to win to your side. While you are losing people on one hand, another group is phoning trying their best to win them. It cannot continue!!!!!!!!! We are running out of time. I have 5 to 7 people who I influenced to buy Zenyatta. Two of them still support siding with AE. Careless remarks are not helping me, not helping G, nor anyone else doing the phoning, doing their best to help you.
I am often told that money isn't everything in life. I get the argument and I buy into it. But when you have none, all of a sudden reality sets in and you realize how important it is. Money is the root of Zenyatta's problem. We have to be respectful of the people with the other view. We do not have enough votes to win this important cause, at this point. Quite frankly, we need them. Do not be driving them away. You are not going to win the hard core over. I wish we had a chance, but realistically, we only have a chance if they will listen. Do not say nor do anything that turns them off. Think it over.
Let us all do what our parents tried to teach us. Be nice to people, even those who do not return the favour.
Thank you for your patience and tolerance.
