We didn't have a debt problem until we had tax cutters.

The debt nearly tripled under Reagan.

The US went from being the largest creditor nation to being the largest debtor nation under Reagan. That was the exact moment of our decline. When was that? Sept. of 1985. The day the US decided to never be great again.
