BS yet again. When the smartphones came along and disrupted the PC centric tech scene did this cause tech economics to crater?

Why on earth do you think that environmentally friendly disruptions in the energy sector are any different? The fossil fuel industry will be hammered by electric, from generation through end consumption, but such wholesale disruptions to existing industries tend to expand the economy, not contract it. PV in '17 added more generation capacity than any other energy source, and that is something that is going to keep expanding going forward. EVs are going to hammer the ICE based vehicles too. Again, this won't cause any economic collapse. Its an economic opportunity instead.

Only nutty economists who want sinecure at libertarian think tanks (to quote Thomas Sowell) don't understand this and think that solving AGW is an economic problem of frightening proportions.
