Yeah, fine. So, Expedia is going to forever rule over the airlines and whoever running their own web sites with their own software, and carpoint will be immune to the dealers or auto companies or whoever cutting Bill out. Why? Because Windows CE is that all-important proprietary lock aka monopolistic death grip, nobody will be able to live without it, and Bill will set it up so competitors are doomed. Just like Encarta is the last word in encyclopediae, everybody always wanted to have an artfully edited Funk and Wagnall's on their desktop, and the strongarm OEM bundling tactics had nothing to do with it. MSN, MSNBC, Sidewalk will inevitably rule the new media world, if it takes 100 reincarnations each. Why? Because Microsoft Rules. I may have no point, but that only leaves me one short of you, good buddy.

You can take back the smiley if you want, I will continue to be amused. Maybe John Malone is on top of this stuff, maybe he isn't, whatever. I'll just keep watching the news.

Cheers, Dan.
