I'd like to suggest the title for the sequel to be The Rise and Fall of Donald Trump by James Comey.

At least some of the ascendence to the presidency can be assigned to Comey via his reopening the Clinton email 'matter'. Going forward, he could be instrumental in Trump's downfall with respect to a likely obstruction of justice charge. I don't see a Comey/Trump/Russia connection but that is much more likely through Cohen, Manafort, Gates, Donald Jr, Papadoupoulos, Sessions, et al.

Unfortunately the Democratic party does not appear to have anyone with the stature, passion, and oratory to take down the criminal at the top. Comey might be the person to do it when it all plays out.

Here's his quote from this morning which is a very thoughtful, measured response to an absurd tweet.

<<James Comey slammed President Donald Trump for saying on Twitter that he should be jailed for his actions as FBI Director, arguing that the American people are becoming dangerously numb to the President undermining the key tenets of the United States.
“That is not normal that is not OK. First of all, he’s just making stuff up(does he post on this thread?). Most importantly, the President of the United States is calling for the imprisonment of a private citizen as he’s done for a whole lot of people who criticize him. That is not acceptable in this country,”>> Italics are mine..

We are not yet a banana republic.

<<“I hope people read the book and see why the rule of law is such an important value in this country. And key to that is that the President doesn’t get to decide who goes to jail.”>>
