I do see him as common-sense, yes. He doesn't get mired down in the trappings of the presidency. And we have been failed by that by decades. So, he looks at the Iran deal and immediately responds, "Well, that's just fucking stupid. Who would do that?" He looks at NK and says, "If they get hungry enough they'll have no choice." So, he puts pressure on China and others to apply real pressure. He looks at Paris and says, "WTF are we getting for this money?" Nothing. So, we're out. He says to Assad, "This is a red line. Cross it and there will be consequences." So he fires a shot across the bow. He crosses it again, and he responds with a measured but stronger response.

These are things intelligent, common sense people would do without giving a shit about the politics of it. And he has done this time and time again over the last year and half.
