These right wingers have, as you know, preconceived ideas they picked up along the way that are not substantiated by research.

The top one, IMO, is this idea the poor are lazy or stupid and every bit of research I ever seen shows that is pure bullshit.

But that is really the foundation of the Republican philosophy and has been for 100 years. During the great depression the Republicans were advised to let the depression run as it would get rid of the "deadwood".

In the 60's I remember we confronted the Republicans for their "Horatio Alger" nonsense.

Research shows that social programs that help educate the poor and help them get on their feet is what helps them and society best.

We just saw a post by Tim that said Obama slowed the economic recovery. He has no idea if that is correct, but it is part of the right wing myths.

We had defrauded the world's banks with hundreds of billions of junk bonds we had told them was triple AAA. We had to make good on that. And Obama saved the car industry Romney want to let go bankrupt.

The entire Republican philosophy is nothing but myths which benefit the rich and who perpetuate them and who control the pub party.
