Boy you have gone off the deep end if you think the Republicans have done more for the environment than the Democrats.

Reagan is the one who put taxes on social security .And as posted to you an article that showed how Reagan's SS stuff was a bait and switch deal so they could barrow from it to give tax cuts to the rich.

Nixon's OHSA legislation was advisory while LBJ's was mandtory!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

1968, President Lyndon B. Johnson submitted a comprehensive occupational health and safety bill to Congress. [9

On April 14, 1969, President Richard Nixon introduced two bills into Congress which would have also protected worker health and safety. [7]

The Nixon legislation was much less prescriptive than the Johnson bill, and workplace health and safety regulation would be advisory rather than mandatory. [9]

However, Representative James G. O'Hara and Senator Harrison A. Williams introduced a much stricter bill similar to the Johnson legislation of the year before. [7]

And as far as OSHA goes:

After 40 Years Of Success Protecting Workers, Republicans Want To Gut And Handicap OSHA
OSHA passed with bipartison support. Dems did not oppose it!!
