Hmmm, more than speculation if taking Tan at his word at accommodating AAPL which was demanding its “net” royalty be cut to $4/ device from an already under market royalty of $8.

Cutting QCOM’s high margin royalty business in half or more would certainly be much deeper than the $1B in cuts the company proposed back in January.
