If the road was really smart it could figure out that it would never be able to get a return on investment even if 100% of cars have wireless charging.

There are not even fixed recharge points and nearly no cars with wireless charging.

Parking places with wireless charging might be used 80% of the time at places like supermarkets. Units in roads would be in use only 10% of the time at peak hours even if 100% of cars has the system and there were no other places to get electricity at off peak prices.

Really bad idea. I wonder who is paying.
