John You can't depend on the reliability of newsletters for stock ranking. If you think about it as many subscribers as Max has picked up over the years, most will buy a position in his stock of the month if it checks ok on a surface check of fundamentals. This creates an opportunity for the writer, his employees, friends etc. to trade in an and out quick knowing the stock of the month usually has a small gain the first week the letter is out. What I call a self fulfilling prophet.

I would be very leery of Max ratings because if you check back on them a high percentage were rip-offs like KRAN. I think you will find some of his best selections are sent in by subscribers but you only hear of a few.

Thr Nasdaq small caps have been used to list stocks that have false listings. KRAN financials were a set of cooked books and never were the company MAX reported. The CFO took a vacation to ITALY the week they folded. Makes one wonder doesn't it?
