Crossy, DVD Europe ..Philips really screwed that up, as you stated. I think in recent weeks they have doubled back and may go AC-3 after all. They caught alot of heat for not going AC-3. Divx encryption chip from VLSI won't be shipped outside the US the Justice Dept says....so at least everyone else (outside the US) won't have to deal with it. Message 3157209 Can you explain this comment: "Then there's the Divx technology which equals "total control" of User activities on behalf of holliwood, somewhat no privacy advocate (which I am) likes."
