First reform entitlements, if need be I'd accept a rollback of the tax cuts as a tradeoff. Its a tiny factor compared to serious entitlement reform but every little bit helps and possibly it might make the politics a bit easier.

The problem is that "a bit easier" might mean little when you start out at "almost impossible".
