The first link you provided has a conclusion that basically says happiness is based on employment and pay.

Not it isn't.

It's fair to say wages would most likely be significantly higher if a business didn't have to be burdened with health insurance.

No it isn't. Oh sure if the costs of the medical care the insurance is covering just went away then wages would tend to be higher. But if your taxing corporations to pay for the medical coverage then that pushes down wages, if your taxing individuals to pay for it post-tax wages and salaries go down.

Or to look at it another way, since I think your fond of comparisons of the US to Europe, the US has higher wages and salaries on the average whether you measure with nominal exchange rates or purchasing power parity (some small countries are exceptions but the EU as a whole has lower pay).

A business would have never created the Internet

Assumes facts not in evidence.

Do we spend trillions of dollars on tax cuts for the rich

Tax cuts are not spending.

So the question seems to be what do we spend money on.

Whatever you spend it on, spend less of it at the government level.
