I made a mathematical mistake in my exponential post as it's 50 years not 40 years since $12 an ounce. But 10 years is not long in a lifetime ( with some luck and good sense and knowledge) let alone the grand scheme of things.

I wonder how many people appreciated my hyperbole about asymptotic analysis. I was quite pleased with it. They'd need to be an engineer. There are only 10 kinds of people who appreciate such jokes. Same number as those who understand digital and bitcoin.
