Then it'd be wise to have only the very sick go to ERs but the US forced the poor to use ERs for basic care before we had the ACA.

Having had my share of broken bones and other things (I live too hard) I've seen numerous ER visits and know the costs but I also know I have to wait a long time because they're taking care of a bunch of drunk people and people who have small problems. We don't know the real cost of ERs because too many use(d) them for basic care.
