Just notice the recent chatting here. Saw "Call me by your name" the other day which was pretty good.
My wife says it should have won the Oscar. I'm not quite sure, and feel I need a bit of perspective from being a few days removed from viewing. Anyway, I had forgotten about the buzz on this one and it beat expectations.
"Shape of Water" was memorable, although perhaps hyped up a bit.

We've been into some BBC stuff via Netflix as well. There's a current show "The Durrels in Corfu" that we enjoy. It's about an English family (matriarch and her roughly 25, 20, 14 and 10 year old children) who move to Greece in 1935 under economic pressure to start a new life. It's a dramedy sort of thing, with quirky characters.

Also watching season 8 of Doc Martin, a similar sort of show which is probably more well known. It's kind of a cross between "House" and "Northern Exposure".

Nice start to the season for the Mets, but I'm not sold yet.
